The Department of Entrepreneurship at Technische Universität Berlin is seeking an engaged and motivated research associate (m/f/d) to support research, teaching, and third-party funded projects, with a special focus on East Africa.

Working field:

- Coordination, organization, and active participation in the teaching modules “Venture Campus” and “Treasure Hunting”
- Research in the field of Communities of Practice and Intrapreneurship
- Collaboration in the project “East African Alliance for Digital Skills, AI Research, and Innovation”, particularly:

  • Establishing and managing Communities of Practice (CoPs)
  • Organizing workshops
  • Networking researchers in East Africa and Europe

- Supporting the acquisition of third-party funding for research and teaching projects

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed scientific university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in social and economic sciences
  • Experience in teaching and/or conducting workshops
  • The ability to teach in German and/or in English is required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills.
  • Willingness to travel for work assignments in (East) Africa

Preferred:

  • Interest in entrepreneurship and innovative teaching formats
  • Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for intercultural collaboration
  • Teamwork ability, structured and independent working style
  • Interest in international development cooperation
  • Experience in collaboration with international universities or organizations
  • Knowledge of grant and third-party funding management
